Steem Monsters Season 2 is in the Books

Season 2 of league play finished up tonight, and thanks to a last minute update to the opponent matching algorithm, I was able to climb even higher than last season. I am apparently a Champion.

As I mentioned in a previous post, there was a lot of room for inequality in this game, once you reached diamond level. From what I can figure, they changed this recently, so now diamond level is matched with diamond, champion matched with champion. Check out this sampling of my recent matches. This is a lot more even, which gives me a fighting chance.

But they appear to have made this change only during the last day or so of the season, so my time to climb was limited. Here is the team I put together to try to battle my way as high as I could.

I would have preferred not to use the Sphinx, as I think it costs to much Mana for not enough benefit, but it was the best option with the cards I had. I'm interested to see what I get in my 20 free packs.
