Dragons Eye Jack

today my girlfriend and i sat out in the front yard and carved out our jack o lanterns
i know crazy to think of doing it on halloween instead of weeks before but we never really intended on having them out on display for more than a few nights and pictures anyways.
here is the final results of mine though i may go back and clean up some parts that seem a bit square to me in the aftermath

this is only the 2nd jack o lantern ive ever carved so it was a little surprising to me what the inside looked like and how little guts were in there but thought it looked cool either way

after maybe 30 minutes or or less of cleaning everything out i felt i had a pretty scooped out and the pumpkin smelled pretty great in there as well.

after an hour or so digging away at my pumpkin with various clay carving tools i had my dragons eye jack which is mostly inspired by all the steemmonsters ive been playing lately.

funny enough after putting some candles in there i felt like they just weren't strong enough to show up well in a picture so i decided to get a flashlight and shine through the top. i think next year im just going to cut a hole in the back and put a flashlight in there to show it off as i liked the effect(though the picture isnt the best. also beats worrying about candles over night so i could have it going all night long.
