Steemmonsters - A @smartmonsters experiment - Buying 110 packs

Itchy fingers eager to open some packs. I went and bought another 110 packs again... As an experiment (good excuse, I just wanna flip packs!), I wanted to see if buying beta packs can be as profitable as how alpha packs used to be.

The Experiment

This time, I bought it from @smartmonsters as they offer one of the best deals in the competitive Steemmonsters market.

• $200 for 110 packs
• 10% steem power payback by @steemmonsters
• 1% loyalty rebate by @smartmonsters

With that, my total expenditure is just $178

Again, my luck at flipping packs is really bad. The 110 packs are very average with only 3 legendaries, a few GF common and rare. No GF epic, no GFL...

The total price of these cards are only worth $95.93. Meaning I had a loss of $178-$95.93=$82

But its ok. I am still lacking Death, Neutrals, and Epic Summoners card. So I am keeping those while selling the rest of the excess cards to recover some of the investment.

More Perks!

While writing this post, I saw a new update from @smartmonsters.

@smartmonsters is an account with almost 9000sp. A 5% upvote is worth only $0.01. But if I buy another 80 packs, I will reach Tier 2 and stand to get up to 20% upvote worth $0.04, everyday (not sure if it is everyday, I think they will tweak it along the way). Not too bad!
