Not too long ago I finished an entire alpha set of steem monster cards. Since then I think it is safe to say I have shifted my focus to one card in particular. Not that I have a significant amount of them (e.g. @mattclarke with is flesh golems) but there is just something special about trying to hold a majority share especially when they have stopped production.

To put things into perspective, there are currently 798 gold foil rexxie cards in existence. As I believe they have stopped production of the alpha set of cards, this means there will always be 798 gold foil rexxie.

Since I have 6 that means I have 6/798 = 0.75% of all the golden rexxie cards. As for the regular cards I own 105/30655 = 0.34% of all the regular rexxie cards.

Luckily for me I bought these cards a while ago and have only added a couple since stats have come it. It looks like rexxie is one of the strongest cards in the game as far as base stats go. Due to this and probably other single card collectors rexxie is one of the most expensive common cards with gold foils going for around $4.50 and regulars around $0.11.

So what is the point of all this, well I will probably keep collecting rexxie, but I will say that the bang for you buck is regular alpha set legendaries which are going for the same price as gold foil commons and have the same number in circulation. Also gold foil rares are going pretty cheap and only around 300 of each card exists.

For now we only have a short wait until battles are ready and steem monsters staff are taking leaps and bounds with progression especially with the $100k kickstarter success.

I'm a mod over on the steem monster discord so stop by and say hi if you want to chat steem monsters.

On another note, if anyone hasn't joined steem monsters i'll give you a 5% refund on anything you spend if you join with this link: https://steemmonsters.com/?ref=benzene It is my affiliate link and since I get 5% of what ever you spend on steem monsters I can give it back to you :)

Hey man. Top effort. Always nice when you see an investment pay off :)
I started hoarding fleshies early, because I wanted to invest in SM but didn't want to discourage minnows by stacking a mad deck.
Stockpiling one specific card seemed like a good compromise and a chance to try cornering something (which I've only ever read about).
Guess we'll all get to find out together :)

Definitely, I think especially since we got in so early any alpha card will be a decent investment
