Steemmonsters-Does it have a long future?
I find Steemmonsters to be a fun and addictive strategy game. I see no limit to complexity/levels that could be introduced to the game, thereby keeping it challenging for everyone. I would like to invest in cards and make playing Steemmonsters a part of my recreation time. That being said, the question for me is, can the game survive.
One of the advantages of a blockchain game is your assets are yours and can survive the original game itself or be transferred to another game, thereby potentially retaining value. This would make the failure of Steemmonsters less….financial. Unfortunately I haven’t seen any success is this area anywhere so it seems prudent to be out of your assets prior to the game’s final days. Soooo…..
Will Steemmonsters soon go the way of the dodo bird along with the value of your cards?
In regards to this question the game has one big red flag for sustainability. It doesn’t appear to have a way to generate sustainable income to fund continued development. The games only apparent source of income is the selling of beta packs. To make things worse the prices on the open market appear to be a better value than the packs.
What do you think? Does Steemmonsters have a long future? Will the cards retain value? Are you buying cards for investment or just to play the game?
