#STEEMLORDS - Lord Silvernova wakes to a face full of sand. This isn't HIMLING. Welcome to the RANGERS!

Sir Silvernova had been on his way to HEMLING with the head of Medusa to offer as a token gift to the priest there. The seas of Belegear were not kind though and a raging typhoon savaged the Dwarf Trade Guild Ship that he and Sir Pheli had been traveling. With the ocean waves crashing over the boat the magic dragons the knights had in their possession dissolved into nothing. The Baroness Bearone swooped in and saved the day with Shadduppaurface. They also managed to pluck two others to safety. The storm ravaged them as they flew through the air and then amongst the violence and rage of the storm, Sir Silvernovas recollection goes blank.

What was that sound? Like a slow heartbeat, the sound of the ocean waves crashing upon the shore was beating bass waves up the beach, straight into our intrepid adventurers ears. The sound eased him from the black hole where his thoughts were swirling. 

His eyes opened and it took a minute or so for his vision to clear and the blurry shapes to take form. He could see the shapes of angels lying on the beach in front of him, they began to stir and to his surprise he saw The Baroness and another woman. Maybe this other woman was the famed BFF of the Baroness, from her days when she still had a restraining order out from Sober Town, the infamous Princess Loki? (See her introduction to the rangers here) If it is then this adventure could get messy, quickly. He will have to keep an eye on the Ambrosia stock around these two, although he has a feeling Sir Pheli (see his Ranger story here), whom he could make out in the distance, would be better suited to this job. There also seemed to be another man easing himself from the sand, Sir Silvernova recognised him from the rally point, when all of this craziness began, that my friends was Sir Muxxy.

He could remember the typhoon chasing them on Shaddupaurface, the turbulence and raging winds, the lightning and booming thunder, individually would be trouble enough but combined it an was an unprecedented task to safely navigate the storm. 

It seems Shuddupaurface gave the ultimate sacrifice to save an unlikely bunch of hero's. He died a hero and will be sadly missed, but the ice dragons legacy lives on as this band of misfits strives to claim Excalibur.

Sir Silvernova had an idea, and as much as it was a touch subject to bring up, he took the Baroness Bearone aside and gave her a few things to consider.

“As much as I hate to bring this up, as it was only a few days ago we were enjoying a pipe together under happier circumstances (see the Baronesses side of the story here). But I had just wanted to suggest a way of offering a tribute to shuddupaurface and meanwhile befifiting the quest at hand. The scales from an ice dragon when forged with a little arcane magic and some fine leather straps, make for excellent shields. There are properties that may benefit us further down the road.”

He left it at that, a thought for her to contemplate before we returned the dragon to the earth.

After introductions were made, where Sir Silvernova explained that he was born a Lord and knighted a Sir and answers to either or, and a little catching up (the storm had been too intense to converse) a loud voiced boomed inside of their heads. The path was then laid out for them by Sir Knight through the Eye of Merlin (see the quest details here ). 

A little conversing over a plan of attack ensued, they realised that obviously they weren’t wearing much in the way of clothing. All though there was obviously a call from the guys to just carry on and enjoy the near nudity the girls sort of insisted they at least swim out to the wreckage and investigate for goodies.

So the Rangers enjoyed their first skinny dip together, what better way to get to know your fellow companions than to strip naked and kick your legs furiously in the water together!

Once aboard the boat supplies were found. Sir Silvernova found himself some basic clothing, luckily his eastern fighting style is better utilised without armour, as speed and agility are his friends. For Sir Silvernova some nice loose fitting coverings and a sharp blade are all he requires. The clothes he found fresh out of a sailors chest as well as some spare clothes (in case The Baroness and Sir Pheli were not keen to quest naked), and then it was off to the ships kitchen for sharp blades, some fresh herbs and if he was lucky he would find the chef’s special stash of herbs and seasonings. Apart from that not much was found by Sir Silvernova and he decided to head back to shore, he could see a fire burning and could make out the shapes of Sir Pheli and The Baroness. It was good to see her in high spirits after the days stress, he also noted the smitten look on Sir Pheli’s face. Good on him, but Sir Silvernova filed it away in his memory banks, just in case it proved to be a weakness in the future for his #steemsilvergold friend. 

After reaching the shore and devouring the food that Sir Pheli and the Baroness had prepared Sir Silvernova retired to the sea shore to enjoy a pipe to the setting sun. He had indeed found the chef’s secret stash. 

He thought about the road ahead, the ogres and orcs they would encounter on the first step, a meeting with King Théoden to seek his help.

Reflecting on the new group they had formed “the Rangers” Sir Silvernova considered his present company, they seemed capable. He is looking forward to adventuring again with Sir Pheli, they had embarked on great adventures before, even if Sir Pheli didn't remember all the details. 

Sir Muxxy and Princess Loki seem to be a mystery, but the fact that they were friends to the brave Baroness meant he was prepared to be welcoming, and endeavour to get to know them better. For to earn excalibur, forces must combine, the road ahead looks dangerous, but the Rangers, as a team, seem ready to face it together.
