Back to the Basics

Is it just me or does it feel like technology is pulling us apart as opposed to bringing us closer? My kids are texting each other on the dinner table instead of having a real conversation, my friends ask me why I am not more engaged in their social media life instead of sharing experiences in person, my investment advisor tweets me portfolio updates as opposed to walking me through the inner workings of the stock market. Who else feels like we should focus on getting back to the basics and be humans with each other again? What do you think of when it comes to going back to the basics?
