Even Closer to Minnow, SBI Bonus Giveaway Still Continues, and Weekly News Update

This week was continuing steady growth for the project. We sold another 7 SOL!! Thanks once again to @enginewitty for grabbing 5 more SOL!!!! 👍 We have powered up the Steem. 😀. This pushed you up over another ten and so your share of SBI has been sent.

Thanks also to @ecoinstant for picking up two more SOL! 😁. We have progressed into the next round of the competition for over 1000 Steem! We also made an even-up swap for 50 INCOME tokens. Hopefully, over time, this will allow the project to build more SBI stake and increase author rewards...looking toward the long run.

More progress has been made on the programming of Solairibot. It listens to the blockchain for comments containing “!SOL,” checks the user database to determine token holdings, and checks the time since the last call. If this time is greater than 23 hours, then it writes the new call time into the database.

The only remaining tasks to complete for the bot to function is the actual broadcasting of the vote operation, and later, to automate the user database with the balances from SE so that it remains accurate even in the face of what may one day become significant trading volume. (We can hope anyway, time will tell).

We have also looked into server rental. It remains to be seen whether it is useful to pay a monthly fee for the bot to keep running all the time.

We still do not feel that it is immediately necessary to implement a complete change from autovoting to manual curation. Instead, we are almost certain to have both for a time; that is to say, the auto votes will still continue for the time being, but those with 50 (still haven’t quite decided what the threshold should be) or more SOL will also be able to call the bot (either on their own post if they post more than once a day, or on someone else’s).

We wish to make a point of the fact that we will not impose content or author restrictions on the bot’s upvote. If a token holder possesses the power to make the call, then they should be free to use that power as they choose. We hope that members will consider the project’s curation and possible retaliation/downvoting when making the call. We will see how long we last before that changes. 😜

Voting power continues to remain stable and is consistently in the very high nineties. It does not seem that the addition of the voting bot will offer too much of a drain on V.P. at this juncture, and might even help us to earn a bit more curation.
