True Reflection

I am a window
that allows others to see their true selves,
when you look at me you can not bewitch or continue
to hide behind your golden tongue,
you will not lead all astray
your actions will be uncovered by the young,
Blindly led, will be a thing of the past
this deception you have created
my friend it will not last.
I am a window that allows
others to see what they will become,
your dreams and visions
will no longer be yours alone
everything you aspire to will be known,
your ego and dominant self
will become battered and bruised
all that you thought you knew, you lose.
I am a window that sees how things really are,
this power over
will not continue it has gone too far.
I will pull my blinds on you
and all the suppressed shall be free
living in this world with the freedom to be.

I consider myself to be a intermediate poet.

Thank you @d-pend for creating this challenge and allowing me to take the time daily to be creative and expressive. I am really happy to have made it this far. I feel myself growing as a poet. I have never had any input with my poetry before, it has always come straight from my heart, on to paper and more recently here on to steemit

Today you bring us a "true reflection" deeply felt. The images accompany the feeling of breaking, of discovering what is behind the façade. A world that pretends to be what it is not, appearing at all times a power that it no longer has. Your work with words is impeccable and they convey a strong and clear message: There is no cheating anymore, the masks fell off.
