SteemitSandwichContest Week #42 - Second entry - Hearty German Sausage & Sprouts Stack
Dear Hearts,
I write this brief letter to thank all my fellow sandwiteers for the friendship and hearty competitiveness offered here on our beloved SSC; I for one am certainly having loads of fun these days with hearty sandwiches!
We have only one person to thank, and it's our dear judge who is at the heart of SSC and that of course as we all know, is our beloved @jaybird!
So today I will share with you my Hearty German Sausage & Sprouts Stack, hope you enjoy it!
Much love and heartfelt thanks,
Yours truly @lizelle
I used the following simple ingredients:
- Two heart shaped pancakes (Recipe at end of post)
- One German Knakwurst, grated (a delicious sausage with a strong garlic flavour)
- Variety of Sprouts
- Grated Cheddar Cheese
Secondly the grated German Knakwurst - not very heart healthy!
Lastly a generous layer of grated Cheddar Cheese - will not get the heart foundation stamp of approval!!
I shaped the remaining cheese into a heart shape on the baking pan.
I popped both pancakes under the grill with the cheesy heart.
Pancake hearts cannot be parted, so layered them snugly together.
The cheesy crispy heart ready to be broken by whoever touches it first.
Pancake heart has been broken in two and will be devoured anytime now!
Pancakes/ Crumpets/ Flapjacks Recipe

Thanks @jaybird, I had fun with my post as well, letter writing is something seldom done these days, I almost did not post this letter ;);)
There was a lot of heart in that sandwich @lizelle. Your creativity and thought into all of your food is astounding. You are such an inspiration!I l enjoyed the play on heart healthy sprouts and not so heart healthy knockwurst. The crispy cheese heart is the perfect crunch element in your sandwich. Yum!
