The Rendezvous Cafe is a well known ice cream parlour situated on the promenade at Whitley Bay in the north east of England. Its art deco styling has brightened up the seaside resort since the 1930s.

The cafe is far from desolate but there can be days, when the weather is inclement, when the beach and promenade looks deserted.
