SteemitPhotoChallenge #44 - Entry 1: Homemade tortilla with mixed salad
First, hello lovely Steemit fans!
My Name is Ellie and I am pretty new to Steemit. I just discovered that there is a weekly Photography Contest. I really like it, because I love to capture moments of living and beauty.
This's week it is about food, which is awesome. I love (healthy) food and already have an Instagram account about food and photography, so why not give it a try at Steemit?
Here is my first entry to it: On this picture, I present to you a healthy lunch meal: Homemade tortilla with a mixed salad. As far as possible, all ingredients are plantbased and regional food. This means: the eggs used for the tortilla are from happy hens from my neighbour (the animals live outside and get fed with grain of corn and grass), the potatoes are from a local farmer etc. I prefer food from my region, because it has a much shorter transportation route to get from where it comes from via the store to my kitchen. That implies less pollution by exhaust gas.
Next week I'm gonna make several post about food, its meaning to sports, the importance of healthy food etc., so tell me you interests.
I chose this picture (besides the food) because of the lighting and the roses, I just love them!
I tried different versions with the definition of the image and blurred the background. The focus of the picture lays on the food, of course :)
To capture my food, I mostly use my camera (or my phone - Samsung S5, if I didn't take my camera with me).
About one year ago, I bought myself a Sony Alpha 6000. It is a system camera or called DSLM (=digital single lens mirrorless). With that purchase, one of my longest dreams came true! At the age of 10, I've got a camera (from Canon), but it wasn't that good. I always wanted a reflex camera…if you wonder why I bought a DSLM instead of a DSLR: it has les weight (because of the missing mirrors) and the auto-focus is faster than a reflex camera.
Tomorrow, I will post my second entry for this contest, so just follow @randome when you're interested.
Have a nice evening and good night, my dear Steemit fans!
