Achievement 2 : Basic security on Steem

Hi everyone, here are my answers to basic security's questions on steemit below.

Question 1: Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

Yes. I have received my keys and kept save where they can be easily accessed anytime when needed.

Question2: Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

Yes, I know what each key stands for and their restrictions. Below are there functions and their restrictions.

Posting key allows account user to post new articles, make comment on others posts and make ups upvotes to promote good contentsMemo key is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when making transfer of funds. This is achieved by adding # sign before it.Owner key is a very powerful key. useful for resetting or recovering account when other password.Active key is used for sensitive tasks. Tasks like fund transfer, steem conversion, voting for witness etc.

Question 3: How do you plan to keep your master password?

Master password is normally given when signing up on steemit. It can retrieve all keys including owner's key and it mostly useful when going through account recovery. Knowing how important it is made me to save it in my drive.



Question 4: Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes .

To transfer steem from one account to another, one needs to visit the steemit wallet site. Login by inputting your active key and then click on steem, then transfer. Insert the account's username and the amount of steem you are willing to transfer.



Question 5: Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

Yes I do.

To perform this task, visit the steem wallet site and click on steem like u want to transfer token, then the power up option will appear. Then insert the amount of steem you want to power up. Then authorize the transaction.
