Warm-up!

If you want to have an effective lesson, you must start with a good warm up. That's why, I started the lesson with the picture above. You can ask your students some general students to get them interested into topic. You may ask these following questions

Do you like parties?
Where are they?
What are they doing?

General Understanding!

Read the dialogue and answer the questions.

Where is Maria from?
What is Kate planning to do?

( A reading text is also important, lets start with general question to get their overall understanding!)

Let's Read!

Erasmus Party!
Maria: Hello, I am Maria. What is your name?
Kate: Hi, I am Kate, nice to meet you. Where are you from?
Maria: I am from Moscow and you?
Kate: Wow! Moscow, I love your city.I am planning to go to Moscow next year. What can I do in Moscow?
Maria: Moscow is a big city. There are some restaurants, but there aren't any big stadiums.
Kate: Are there any interesting cafes?
Maria: There are some Russian cafes. You can drink some coffee, but you can't drink any alcohol!
Kate: Are there any shopping malls?
Maria: Yes, There is a big shopping mall in the center of the city. There are some small markets.
Kate: Are there any big squares?
Maria: There is a big square in the center. There are some interesting monuments in the square. There are some colourful houses near the square. You can drink some hot wine in a pub.
Kate: Are there any good museums?
Maria: Of course, there are some museums. There is a special museum. It has got some nice statues!
