Youtubers For My Students: Roberto Blake
A lot of my students consume much more youtube than TV. So I want to feature a Youtuber, who speaks about how to build a youtube channel: Roberto Blake.
Roberto Blake is extremely productive, so I can impossibly summarize all of his videos. But I think he started out as a graphic designer, photographer and video-producer and developped into a youtuber teaching social media marketing for artists.
He has business and mindset videos as well as technical tips and gear revies.
I have quite some students who have already a youtube channel running, so I think it is good to give them some advise how to go to the next level.
Also I have some creative students who could never imagine to publish there work. They should know how easy it actually is to start a youtube channel or to publish on other social media platforms.
Roberto's channel is not very monetized. There is no youtube adwords on this most of his videos and I think the only thing he is advertising for is his some payed mentorship service. Also there is probably some affeliate marketing in the background. But this low level of monetization is really outstanding for a youtuber with this amount of quality and quantity.
One of my favorite videos of Roberto Blake is "How to Make Better YouTube Videos 10 Tips for Filming on YouTube". It helps a lot for beginners but still have enough depth for real improvement.
Do you like Robert Blake and will you recommend it to your students?
