Introduction to Basic Multiplication Using Arrays

Multiplication is repeated addition but when there is a large number of objects it is very hard to add them by repeating. Easier solution is to arrange these objects in rows and columns and then use multiplication to count them. In this activity we will realize the need of organizing the object into rows and columns to make arrays and then solve as a multiplication problem.

Remember a row is horizontal lining from left to right (or right to left) and a column is a vertical line from top to bottom. Below is the activity on the concept;
