Sex sells. Just like hard drugs.

It offers some young people a kind of excitement they feel they are lacking. An excitement that stems from a dearth of a forum to properly learn about their sexuality.
The family does not talk about sex. It is prohibited in the churches. Schools frown against it, and the society wants it hidden and mystified. The only available forums these days is the media.
Like a currency in the open market, everyone feels free to speak and express their sexuality via the media. It doesn't matter if they have a proper orientation or not; as long as you have sexual organs, you have expression.
Everyone is talking about sex, as a sport, game or conquest. And it reflects in the lyrics of our most viral music, scenes of our most loved videos, and on most visited pages of the internet.
We glorify sex, but not many people are really interested in getting educated about sexual issues.
Until we start to pay more attention to education about sexual issues in the corner of our individual homes (families), our friends, children and loved ones may not be safe.
And if we don't begin to do away with songs that have lyrics like;
"Waa fe ku lale yii"
"Story for the gods" and others...
We may continue to implicitly promote sexual crimes in our society. And this has nothing to do with a particular tribe, we all are guilty, one way or the other.
