Love the way you use star trek as part of the metaphor. I definitely agree that teaching and learning shouldnt be the boring o style. And honestly how much do we even use to apply in life. I facilitate experiential learning style to the youth, and i believe through whatever they experience, they can relate so much better and allowing them to sink in the learning way better than just sit and i talk type of teaching. :)
That's right, the problem is that it can be difficult to carry out experiential learning because of the time and exam constraints placed on the teachers
I guess it's tough for the traditional system , which i really think they should changed. Even if they don't then it would be great if once or twice (best few times a year) to give them the opportunity to join some program out there or even organizes something that allows them to have the experiential learning opportunity.
