STUDENT EXPECTATIONS FROM VARIOUS COUNTRIES TO TEACHERS

"Good teachers not only teach but also learn from their students" (Tasha-Leigh, 12, Jamaika-Karibia)

Students are not white papers where teachers write at will. Students are also ordinary people who need to be respected. He craved a pleasant learning environment, out of fear and depression. He also needs space to express themselves in accordance with their respective potential. This is where the role of teachers as a facilitator as well as catalyst needs to have the potential to grow rapidly in accordance with the demands of the times.

Teacher is not an angel, let alone a god. What comes out of the teacher's mouth is not the word until the taboo is disputed. Master is only an ordinary human who is not spared from mistakes and mistakes. Therefore, self-introspection is something that is absolutely necessary. Occasionally teachers need to look from the students' point of view. From that angle, the teacher will know what the figure looks like in the eyes of the students as well as what the students expect from him.

Related to this, Unesco, in the book titled "What Makes a Good Teachers? Children Speak Their Minds "summarizes 28 student responses from 5000 students' previous answers aged between 8-12 years from 50 countries.
