The Benefits of Honey & Aloe Vera! | My Favorite Moisturizers!
You know what they say, “Health is Wealth” a very well known saying that is pretty short, yet it means alot to many. For me, it means being healthy inside & outside. From time to time, I love pampering myself & buying soothing masks, blackheads/whiteheads removers, facial masks & all of my “me time essentials”.
I guess, when it comes to spending money, I carefully think what to buy especially when I am on a budget, thanks to Steemit, my budget has increased! But going back to the topic, I really carefully think of buying things when I am on a tight budget, but when it comes to speding money for products that can improve my health, I really don’t stick to the budget that much, after all I really am a fan of skin care products. So today, I wanted to share to you guys, the benefits of Honey & Aloe Vera! Two of my best pick for moisturizers!
So how did I discover Honey & Aloe Vera? Well, let me start first with Aloe Vera.
So it all started when I went swimming, it was around summer 2015, I went outing & went to my province to enjoy the beach & enjoy the beautiful sea! So yes, my only intention was to enjoy the summer vibe & just basically go ahead & swim at the wide beach! But unexpectedly, I got to excited & I stayed out in the sun for too long! I mean seriously, too long! I think it was around 10 AM to 3 PM, so the sun was really giving my skin sunburn, but I didn’t expect my sunburn to be really intense. So the next day, My skin looks fine it just got tan, but afar from that I didn’t see anything else till it was the afternoon. So it was around noon, so the sun is really out, and I went outside too to buy something, immediately after my skin got exposed in the sun, around 5 seconds I felt my skin was burning! So I realized that it was a sunburn! So I researched about how to treat sunburn, and I saw lots of treatments but I wanted to use natural products for my skin, because during those times my skin was definitely painful to touch, even the slightest of pinch hurts alot, but then after researching, I found out about Aloe Vera.
I also have learned that Aloe Vera, does not just have moisturizing properties, Aloe Veras also have anti inflammatory properties that can help in treating burns. So thankfully, I had a plant of Aloe Vera at my house, so I just took a leaf of Aloe Vera & extracted its Gel. After that, I then applied it to my skin after taking a bath then I left it on my skin for around 15 minutes. Then I rinsed it off, and I felt like it was really soothing, it relieved the pain from the sunburn, I have continuously applied Aloe Vera once a day on my Skin for 3 days, and the results were amazing! My skin became less sensitive & it the Aloe Vera helped in the process of healing my skin. So besides from treating burns, what are the other benefits of aloe vera? Well, it is:
- Aloe Veras Are Moisturizing
- They Help in Making hair Moisturized too.
They can help reduce skin irritations.
Helps in treating pimples
And since Aloe Veras also help in treating pimples, I decided to buy Aloe Vera gel in stores! I use them for atleast 2-3 times a week on my face, so that my pimples would not get reddish & it would heal quickly. It is really effective, I have tried using it on my hair to & it made my hair smooth and soft to touch. Aloe Veras are really awesome! Alot of products sometimes have Aloe Vera! Like shampoo & face masks.
Now How I discovered Honey!
Okay, so I know honey for a long time now, but not its other use. Because before, when I was a child, and when I have cough or colds, I am always told to drink water & lemon combined and with added water, I kinda like the taste because the sweet taste of honey and the sour taste of lemon a little bit reduced because of water is a really great taste for me. So I thought that was the only thing I could do with honey. But then when I was growing up, I started to notice that my skin is having a discoloration, maybe because when I was a child, I would sometimes go out during noon without any umbrella, and then after playing, I would see my shoulder having way lighter shade than my arms, this is because I am wearing a t shirt.
So as I grew up, I started becoming conscious, so there I am again and I did a research on what to do about having discoloration of skin, or I would search what to do if the skin is not even. Then I found out about honey! Which has mild bleaching properties, but also has moisturizing properties! I tried honey, with the mix of other ingredients, and it seemed to help alot it correcting my uneven skin tone, now my skintone looks a bit even now, unlike before. Honey has been a great help in keeping my skin moisturized and I would say, it is really awesome too!
So besides from having mild bleaching properties & moisturizing properties, what are the other benefits of honey? Here they are:
- It can Help prevent heart diseases because it contains antioxidants.
- It can help in treating throat irritations.
See! Honey & Aloe Vera are very useful! They are not just good for the skin (outside) they are also good for the body (inside).
