Last chance to update

The old steemd.steemit.com endpoint will be going away on January 6, 2018. If applications are still using this endpoint when it is retired on January 6, those applications will break.

Developers must ensure that their applications are using the new api.steemit.com endpoint before January 6, in order to ensure there is no interruption in service when the old endpoint is retired.

Why doesn't this work?

from steem import Steem
steemd = Steem(nodes=['https://api.steemit.com']).steemd
for post in steemd.stream_comments():
    print(post)

When this works:

steemd.get_dynamic_global_properties()

You said steem-python would work right away, but there are many people complaining here that it doesn't.

Currently, the Steem Python library likes this:

11 eof_exception: End Of File
stringstream
    {}
    th_a  sstream.cpp:109 peek

    {"str":""}
    th_a  json.cpp:478 from_string

but not this format:

{"status":"OK","datetime":"2018-01-03T10:45:43.043347","source_commit":"6e4e4ed9dbd40e0bfac9cb2722c7f13d714542f1","docker_tag":"latest"}

So, could you tell me the difference (in terms of usage scenarios?) thanks.

https://www.npmjs.com/package/steem has not been updated yet.
It still point by default to the non fonctional service.
Could someone look into it, thanks.
