First I was so sure I could crack this code, But in the final process I had trouble determining the key length used.

Cryptanalysis of Hill Cipher is very difficult if done with ciphertext-only attack, especially. This difficulty is caused by ciphertext Hill Cipher which has no pattern and every character in one block affect each other character.

The technique that can be used to perform cryptanalysis against Hill Cipher is knownplaintext attack. If cryptanalysis has a corresponding plaintext and ciphertext fragments, then Hill Cipher can be solved. But a pretty difficult process is to determine the length of the key used.
