WHEN GIVING BECOMES A CHARACTER

Giving is a natural phenomenon of life. The earth produces nothing unless it has received something somehow. I had to examine the natural powers involve in giving before looking deep into the supernatural. The result of giving is receiving and many think it is the other way around. Let us take a simple scenario, if you are not willing to give to the earth what you have received from it then be prepared to die, why? After eating something maybe food, naturally you are expected to visit the toilet to give back the waste or else it becomes a poison to your body.

The bible and other religious books admonish humans to be willing to give when necessary but the reason of writing this post is to show everyone in steemit what happens when giving becomes your character. There is a saying “Givers never lack”, I have seen it play many times around me. Perfection is all about practice and whoever wants it must be ready to follow the way to perfection which is constant practice. Becoming generous does not have any spiritual influence but making decision to be generous. You don’t pray to be generous but you decide to become, though it takes constant practice for it to become a character.
"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." -Michael Jordan.

Sometimes your condition sharpens your mentality, most people may not understand the power of giving due to the prevailing knowledge they have been taught from their environment. I had a friend many years ago that has such character. He will never release something that has no benefit to him in any way. It is so difficult for him to share with someone, and then I decided to investigate why he behaves that way. I found out that was the way his environment taught him.

God blesses us when we give
The bible teaches us in the book of proverbs 3:27-28
“Do not with good from those that deserve it, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor come back later; I’ll give you tomorrow- when you now have it with you”.
We should never be greedy with things that perish; life is more than bread then, why withholds bread from the hungry. When we give to the poor, we are also partnering with God for the poor cry unto him day and night for his blessings upon their lives.

How to give with the right motive
Give secretly not so that you announce your generosity for men to praise you, for your reward will only be earthly. Jesus told his disciples in Mathew 6:4 “… your father which seeth in secret will reward you openly”.
Give cheerfully so that you don’t regret your act of kindness.
Give sacrificially, for sacrifice provoke divine intervention. There natural laws that brings returns to sacrifice, how much more the spiritual forces that answers to sacrifice.
Give according to what you have not by what you don’t have. Don’t steal all because you want to give.
Give honorably, giving should be done with concern for whosoever it is given to. Don’t give crumbs and expect to be blessed.

Finally, Remember that what goes around comes around. When giving becomes your habit, you are never scared of losing; never beg for bread or be stranded. Show love by sharing so the world will be a better place for all. Never give out of necessity but out of love.
