I honestly don't think Cape Town has EVER been catapulted from Winter into Summer like this! It is like someone flicked a switch and we have literally gone from having snow on our mountain tops, to having everything turn to lava! haha - That's not even an exaggeration. lol - We need TIME to adjust please Mother Nature! lol

Yesterday was like 40 degrees Celsius in the shade and although predicted that today would be a little cooler, it honestly does NOT feel like it AT ALL! I have been walking around the house in somewhat of a dazed, lethargic zombie like state the entire day, trying to muster up enough energy to actually do something productive.

Jude and I attempted to do his school charity Christmas Box wrapping project, but even that we both kinda "lumped" half way through because it was just too darn hot to see it all the way through to the end lol - I guess I failed in the "persistence" department as a parent today haha..... oh well, too hot to care to be honest. We can finish it tomorrow - and if this heat continues, we can do it in increments until it is due on the 1st of November lol.

It is days like this that I REALLY miss being able to water my garden with a bloody hosepipe! haha - Watering with bottled and grey water simply doesn't hold quite the same rewarding and cooling feeling lol! But, we do what we have to do...

I must be honest, even the thought of cooking this evening has left me feeling MOST unenthusiastic! - And that says a LOT! - because everyone knows how much I love to cook lol! - Well, I suppose on the positive side, Summer is a lot better for my waistline haha! So anyway, with energy levels running on reserve, I decided to opt for a simple steak and salad dinner... oh and a mushroom sauce... let us NOT forget the sauce lol!

Tonight it is steak "Two Ways" - Dave is having his in a traditional basting style sauce... booooring!!! haha - and I am having mine with a thick, dry rub of chopped rosemary, ground black pepper and salt... YUM! Much more interesting haha!

Truth be told, I actually don't have the energy to write the "process blurb" - but here are the photos... I think they speak for themselves! haha :D

Well DAAAMN... at least the steaks look good when they are SIZZLING because the same can DEFINITELY NOT be said for me! lol

Well, that's about all I can muster for the day folks haha... so cheers from a lethargic me to a hopefully more ENERGETIC you! ;) ....oh, and to the sunset FINALLY arriving!
