AUTO-POST from INSTAGRAM to STEEMIT with @Share2Steem!
I am probably one of the biggest social media junkies you will ever meet, and although my list of registered social accounts pales greatly to that of @traciyork haha - it is still a relatively hefty list! On Steemit I manage several accounts, all of which are linked to other sites such as Facebook and Twitter. I have WAY too many pages and groups which I manage on FB too. Now there is Whaleshares, Weku, etc. etc. Then there is Linkedin - which to be frank is probably the only neglected one and then there is Instagram and and and the list goes on... and on! haha
In honesty, it has become quite the task to remain active and efficient on all of them since I joined Steemit and my (loved) responsibilities here running the @steemitbloggers server somewhat took priority - and Linkedin aside - Instagram is probably the one that has taken the hardest knock. I have not been consistently active on Instagram for months and I actually really miss it. I am very much a visual person, and like I really enjoy browsing Pinterest, I also love exploring and sharing on Instagram.
Which is why I am SUPER HAPPY now! haha

I already post regularly to Twitter automatically via my FB pages and I don't post to youtube or Twitch - so it was only really the Instagram option that interested me - because I really miss posting there on a regular basis. It is REALLY easy to setup and you can fully customise your footer etc. just as you would here on Steemit. I was SUPER STOKED to make this discovery and use it for the first time today! And the footer and everything is embedded into the post for you, so you don't need to worry about it every time... you can just capture that snap and share it!
This TRULY bridges a MASSIVE GAP - especially when it comes to encouraging people to join us here on Steemit!
And now we can ALL do a HAPPY DANCE!!! haha

I can see how this would be a very useful feature for people who are IG'ing all the time. I will definitely pass this on to friends of mine because why not. I didn't have time to read all of this but does it integrate with steemshot? I think that was the name of it at least. I couldn't deal with SS because it felt extremely slow.
Hey @gooddream :) Apologies for the delay in responding to you, I have been struggling to find the time to get to all my comments. I think you are referring to steepshot - and yes I agree with you - apart from that it is always crashing on my darn phone so eventually I just gave up on it.
No this is something else entirely and works via steemconnect. Personally, I am absolutely LOVING it!! And they reward nicely too!
no sweat on the late reply. I am starting to get a bit more involved with photos soon... perhaps i will have a look at this because while steepshot didn't crash for me, it was dreadfully slow.

I'm really amazed at how you handle all that stress. For me having a bunch of accounts here and there causes a lot of stress. I, therefore, like to delete several apps from time to time, because I don't want to receive a hundred notifications all the time. Especially when I have heavy exams at university, I'd like to keep my phone silent and lock it away somewhere. Don't you feel stressed with so many accounts every minute? If not, please let me know how you handle that.
Besides that, I'm really looking forward testing your Share2Steem! :)
I think we are all "programmed" slightly differently so what you possibly find stressful - I find as somewhat of a release for my incredibly anxious and ever-energetic personality. Having multiple things to do all at once allows me to diffuse and somehow calm my VERY active mind. I struggle mostly, to RELAX! haha :)
That's a really interesting point here. For me, diffusing is not a good state, because in this condition I have zero concentration and I think without concentration we cannot relax. But as you said, it is for everyone different. As long as you feel comfortable, everything is good haha :)

I do not know how you do it all - I can not spend too much time on a computer - if I am done with work I am quite fed up with technology - I am apparently very old school still. Miss a pen and paper hahaha. But you are doing a great job with it. Some are just naturally good with technology
I think I am a junkie...lol ;) But I DO feel you.... believe me I have my days where the thought of it all literally nauseates me.... and then I WALK AWAY! I think it is all about balance and also managing it effectively so that you can minimise the time actually spent in front of the screen and maximise LIVING - WITH pen and paper ;)

I've been following the development of the app froom its first release. I instantly saw its potential to bring in a lot of external users,but I was a bit afraid others didn't, because it took quite a while before they started receiving support. I am so happy they are finally getting traction in the SteemIt community. Thanks for your recommendation, @jaynie

Honestly... I think they are going to shock the SHIT out of everyone! Instagram is (if I am not mistaken) the leading social media site in the world... linking the two - #$%#$ GENIUS!!!!! They have NO worries about this taking off! and I am SO thrilled about the GAP which it closes between the people on Steemit and "the rest" that are not yet here. It is a FANTASTIC concept and I am loving it!
Exactly my thoughts. People won't have to go through those first weeks of hell when trying to figure out how SteemIt works; they can keep using the site they are used to and still post to the Steem blockchain. Not that the 'making money'-part is relevant with these absurd prices, but still...
A week or so ago #share2steem was already the most used hashtag here on SteemIt. More and more Steemians get to know the tool and use it. I'm so proud of those guys for coming up with a system that is designed to get people from the outside in. The app has come such a long way since the first launch of Steemigram 2 months ago. @sebbbl and @algo.coder have worked so hard. I just read they added another feature: achievement rewards as an incentive to use the app. It keeps getting better and better :0)
