This is interesting and I'm a fan of anyone using technology for the good of society. I'm curious to know how your team plans to overcome Steemians rightful hesitation to support such projects due to the myriad of scams and coin grabs that take place? Any feedback on the roadblocks you've faced so far or what ideas your team has come up with to overcome doubt would be appreciated. Either way, keep it up!
You've raised a very valid point, @cinderhouse. On the steemit platform, growth is all about team work and collective effort. We at #steemitashanti like to view ourselves as responsible individuals whose intent is to help build the steemit community in our part of the country, where there is still much work to do. It is with that purpose that we carry out outreach programs to help sensitize our countryfolk on steemit and what it stands for. Let us state clearly that we do not condone activities that may be interpreted as scamming. We all had lives before joining steemit, and we'll continue to have those lives with or without the platform. Our aim is to grow together with our fellow steemians, not scam them. It is why we help in the growth of this platform by delegating SP and supporting with SBD. Our track record is clear for all to see. Our motivation is fueled by dedication, not expectation of monetary rewards. We hope this comment allays your fears. Thank you.

And this issue has been a matter of concern as well but we always plan with the intent of getting no help.
Like when we went to the childrens home we ask members to all make a post about it and we accumalated the sbd portion, also aske members to come with anything that they get..
Its all about members dedication... I know as we go forward we may get more support along the way just as we just did.
