HERE ARE SOME PEOPLE STEALING FROM YOUR SUCCESS ON STEEMIT
This is new to me but has anyone noticed that since HF19 people who hold most of the power are mostly voting for their one or 2 word comments?
Is that happening? They will take too much out of the reward pool. I guess that is why all my potential has been going down.
Can anyone advise?
I agree, this is an issue that may require community regulation.

I do so to answer my readers. And I do talk on other people's posts when I am amused or feel strongly enough. But yes... not enough...
People are commenting in other peoples comment section to gain follower. This should be stop soon because i have seen that many big whale are taking action on that.
Well from my perspective, if the comments are genuine, on, topic and adding value I don't think that is mal practice. It is networking. But what these guys do in what I pointed out is sheer laziness and deception, and gaining an unfair advantage. Tell me if you agree. And please resteem this for me. I am hoping for a chance of some good whales seeing this and taking some action on it.
And if you don;t mind sharing, what actions are the whales taking on that?
What benefit is there for these people to friend 1000's of people and then unfriend them in a mass way? I am new as well and learning the ins and out of Steemit. I appreciate your time and response.
Then when they put out an article they will have a lot of exposure and get more upvotes.

A lot of people, when they get a follower, will follow the other person back. However, the person initiating the following only wants them as a follower, they do not genuinely want to follow that person's content. So they wait a couple of days and unfollow the user, keeping them as a follower but not having to see any of their content. It's not really that beneficial since there is no connection of content with the new user, and the new user is therefore less likely to upvote content, but it's a shady tactic nonetheless.
Agree.. that is why I make an effort to respond to all readers that make an effort to post a comment. The down side to it is that I come across that I only comment on my own posts. But I assure you that is not the case. Some posts are inspired by comments I make to other people.

I noticed today someone posted a comment on one of my articles and then got their comment upvoted by @randowhale. His comment payout is now 4x more than the payout on my article. that seems weird to me.

Wow i had zero idea that this kind of foul play was happening behind the scenes! I initially thought it wouldn't hurt to follow people back, and treated it as just a nice gesture, but now I will definitely be more careful! Resteemed!

Sadly no matter how good a system is some people will put more effort into cheating a system than they would on making the most out of it
