RANDOWHALE...BOOSTER...WORLDCLASSPLAYER users - just halt for a moment
Just stop using this these services for the moment, or at least stop stop until you have read until the end of this article.
With the price of steem plummeting to about $1.1 STEEM/USD in the last few days many have been feeling distressed.
I was talking to @aggroed earlier on and he gave me some wisdom...
"Steem price is lower... reward pool is lower... forget the price. It should not be the focus. Keep going and build strong relationships. We will probably see better days in August".
And it makes sense, STEEM/USD is in the penumbra of BITCOIN/USD and in August there will be a Bitcoin hard fork. And we are all on the edge of our seats waiting to see what happens.
Many of us will focussed on upvotes and earning and that drives us to buy upvotes from RANDOWHALE, BOOSTER, and WORLDCLASSPLAYER, and alike... Now I am not say they are doing anything wrong or doing anything unethical. They are still providing an awesome service. But please understand that the steem prices is halved, and reward pool is halved,and with more of us desperately trying to get a steem dollar here and there, their resources are limited.
I saw a post my WORLDCLASSPLAYER that is open and honest and fullof integrity in saying that things are difficult at present and he can only offer his service at lower returns.
RANDOWHALE and BOOSTER will also be under the stress of more demand and less resources.
So I am not saying don't use them, nor am I saying they are negative in anyway... Just check what they are able to return before. Some of them like booster and always finding more better and more creative ways to get us better returns. But always check first and understand the environment right now.

To check their voting power for that moment. There is nothing more frustrating than to doing this blindly and getting a lower return. Especially now when it counts...

Agreed! Its all about to change once again in August. STEEM will be on its way up shortly. If you can buy Steem now is the time to increase your SP while its still cheap! I think I may get a couple hundred more this weekend! Full Steem Ahead All$!!

Rational and exceptional advice. I have seen lower returns from @booster, @worldclassplayer and @randowhale. There is also @discordia, which I like.
Still, it is a Boost that helps getting some recognition and serve as a vehicle to engage and build relationships.
Personally, I am convinced that the price will recover. Polynex playing games does not help. Perhaps it is a way to determine true motivation here on Steemit, weeding out the quick cash-in peeps...
I am all for making a living on Steemit - but it is a long term investment. Whoever sticks around, building a value-follow-ship - financial reward will come in time.

Thanks for explanation. I am very disappointed with the current situation. Nobody reads me, nobody upvotes. I started to think that something wrong about me.

I think there is so much energy put on initiatives that it seems like there are very few whales who sift through content. The ones that do are usually interested in crypto currency posts or posts that are sure to bring in curation rewards...
I don't see much benefit in the growing number of initatives to help minnows. They help minnows pull more than nothing but they make it very hard to do better than a $5 payout and do NOTHING to encourage quality.....the only way to benefit more than a few pennies is to spend your time promoting these initiatives because then you get the whale behinds them supporting you. So essentially you only get power by giving more power to those who already have power. Maybe some kind of capitalsts thing this is a healthy thing....I don't see that at all, it looks like trickle down economics.
There is a lot of sense in what you say and it is a reflection in the financial situation of the society.
And yes, the support is what it is. I reaps me a dollar here and there. But the intention is encouraging to minnows if nothing else. And while I still participate in these initiatives I also spend a lot of time working on initiatives of my own.

It's strange that I've somehow managed to escape an extreme level of influence from that financial situation. I think it's mostly because of some of the amazing people I've met which rubbed of on me. I try to focus on being a similar existence to others. Hmmm Stay in touch friend.

I think @aggroed said it quite well: "Keep going and build strong relationships". Create high quality content. Make connections by adding relevant comments to other people's posts (how'd I find my way here again?!), and don't focus so much on the money. Many of us were here doing our thing, earning more than facebook or twitter has ever paid, even with STEEM at 10 cents. For me, it just means an even lower "tax basis" for my "long-term investment" in the platform! ;)
You really didn't mention whaleshares and its related initiatives (Whaleshare Discord Chat Invite), which also seek to help people better connect with one another. Plus, there are also many chances to win some WHALESHARE tokens for free, which, if used wisely on your best posts, can give your post a nudge that may bring it to the "hot list" and gain more traction.
However, if you try to "boost" poor quality content, you're wasting your time, money, and reputation using any voting "service", and the self-regulating aspect of it will be that you'll find yourself on a pricey "fast-track" to low reputation and few followers.
Finally, I also highly recommend reading this recent post by @luzcypher, which offers a unique and interesting perspective on STEEMIT as a "gift economy"...
