The Great Medium Exodus

In the past few days, it has become apparent that the centralized platform of Medium is not friendly towards their writers any longer. Any content published on that platform, Medium now has full ownership of.

I believe this sort of situation presents a unique opportunity for those of us on Steem, specifically to reach out, create welcome centers and show them the future of decentralization.

Admittedly, I am not the most active nor have I been on this platform for very long, but I have a feeling that this is the type of platform they might be looking for. My wife, @breezybrepoet , is an active writer on Medium, and upon hearing this news, is planning on mentioning the Steem system as a promising alternative to Medium.

Currently, I have pretty much no Steem dollars, and cannot create a group, but if someone has the potential to create a group called "Great Medium Exodus", it might be a fantastic first step to create an environment within Steem to welcome them.
