Discord not displaying the image for your Steemit link? Try this.
Anyone else notice the strange anomaly of preview images of shared Steemit post links NOT showing up in Discord??
Well, I believe I've figured out why this is. Others may already know about it, but I thought this was worth a post to spread the word and get these images showing up for everyone again.
For those of us who LOVE how images on Steemit works now, by simply drag/dropping or copy/pasting it to the browser, this one is going to be a slight inconvenience.
It turns out that those specific images are the culprit.
BUMMER.
But, the only image that matters is the first one. For all the others, drag/drop, copy/paste to your heart's delight.
Just make sure the link for the first one is external, such as imgur.

Exactly. Don't know why that is, but hosting it elsewhere fixes it.
That's good to know. I hope the Steemit programmers can make it so the Steemit images show up on Discord. It would be a lot easier for us all that way, rather than putting our first image somewhere else, just for Discord! I wonder what other applications might be affected by the same thing behind this Discord-Steemit mismatch. Thanks!
