The STEEM Objective: A Blog Series #3

Going into month 4 of having a Steem account and I have learned many things. One of those is how to better use Markdown to improve the aesthetics of my posts. Pick a niche and stick to it. Use proper tags for posts. It's been hard to maintain a consistent posting schedule with having a full-time job working overnights. No matter what, I do try hard to post at least once with a 7 day period. Attempting to take up the categories of gaming and anime, 2 things I love, I have no shortage of content to write about It was a bit of a rocky start but I feel that I'm starting to find my voice.

In the beginning, my main objective for this account was to make additional funds posting things that I would post on other social platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Which can be read here. During month 2, I started to refine my focus to the spaces of gaming and anime. I also realized that just reposting things that I found on Facebook would inadvertently bring unnecessary toxicity to Steemit and I don't want that at all. So thinking more long term, I decided to turn my account more into a blog. That post can be read here. About 2 weeks ago I got a taste of the potential behind staying the course with a post about a mobile game featuring one of my favorite shows, Rick and Morty. In that post, I outline my discovery and impressions of Pocket Mortys and how the game is very reminiscent of Pokemon. It was my first post that made over $100 and can be found here.

The past couple of days have been real hectic, if you haven't noticed, with the market doing some funky stuff. There is a lot of speculation as to why but definitely has people in a frenzy. I find so much value in the community here and this platform, I have already decided to ride this beast until the wheels fall off. Not only that, I feel that panic selling my Steem will just make the situation worse since I feel quite a few people are doing exactly that. So for now, I'll sit on what I got and keep on keeping on. I could be wrong but I think this is just a leveling out phase from the spike in Bitcoin a little ago and will have another uptrend by the end of the year.

There are many goals I want to accomplish this year and next. Goals like being more consistent with my posting schedule and I am looking into streaming some of my gameplay, since I will be picking up some of the hot new releases that are coming out this holiday season. The post where I go over my objective to stream can be found here. Due to some technical necessities, my choices are a bit slimmer and should make my choice more specific but not necessarily easier. I'll save that for another post.

For now I'm content with the direction that I'm headed and will continue to improve as I go along. continue to meet new people. And always be thankful to YOU for your attention and helpful comments. I really do cherish the engagement and different perspectives I come across here.
