Judging from how many posts Donald.porter has made, it seems like you are correct and he is using IntroduceYourself for an illegitimate reason. He will be forwarded to blacklist recommendations.
Actually, I see people posting daily with the tag introducing things from dapps, to online services, to new story threads (weeklies included).
To each his own I guess, but from what I see trending with the tag since joining either I'm correct or justified. Your choice.

There is not need for personal attacks Mr. Porter, that is not the type of community that we are trying to build here on Steemit.
Sorry, I assumed you guys were from Reddit the moment you jumped all over my #introduceyourself post.
I'm sure I speak for many who either use it to introduce new things on Steemit or simply those who post late after learning what the community is all about.
Oh and by the way, calling someone beautiful is a compliment; Not an attack.
