Being Successful On Steemit Is Like Losing 40 Pounds

It is tough when starting. You post great content and it only gets a couple of views and makes no money. Want to fix that? It is simple. There is really only one way to do that without investing a couple thousand into STEEM Power. Do you want to know what it is?
Here it is...
Keep doing what you are doing.
That's right. Keep doing what you are doing.
It is as simple as that. If you think you are putting out good content, then keep doing it. Most people fail because they give up before they can have a real chance to win.
Winning on Steemit is simple. Provide good unique content, reply and engage with others and you will succeed. The only thing is you have to do it everyday and keep it up.
It is like losing weight. On paper it is the easiest thing in the world. Just exercise, drink water and eat healthy. It's simple, but many are still overweight... myself included. lol.
Why is that? It is because it is hard and not a priority. If you want to make money, you have to put in the work and really provide good unique content, reply and engage with others and do it daily. It isn't something that happens over night.
Most people start getting frustrated at the two week mark. I do the same with working out. I go solid for two weeks then I ease off because I am not seeing the results I want. The problem is the timeline that I am working under. Two weeks isn't enough time to really see substantial results for 95% of new Steemonians.
Just keep doing what you are doing and then come talk to me in three months and see where you are. Just put in the work and the dedication.
To be honest, this blog has made me rethink how I try to lose weight so I am going to really apply the same theory to my workouts. Because if I can do well on Steemit, I can do the same thing with my weight. It just takes dedication and time.
Keep doing what you are doing and you will succeed. Just give it time.

I had a different point I wanted to make with this blog but the losing weight example came out naturally and so I re-titled it and re-worked it a little. It makes sense, lol. Now I just need to lose weight. Thanks again for the support. It means a lot.
Good post. It's hard to keep coming up with good content to constantly be putting out. I'm going to start approaching it like you would as if going to the gym. Back and Bi's, chest and tri's, then leg day. Come up with GOOD ideas to write about, put them down on paper and write the content up for specific days throughout the week. It's the only way i'm going to get BIG!
That is great to hear. Yeah it takes some effort and planning. I time my day around putting in work on Steemit. I work for myself, so that makes it a little easier but whatever time you spend should be spent in combination posting and replying and then replying on other people's stuff. Good luck. We'll get big together.

yes! that is the right attitude for sure. I track my votes and money, but I'm not focused on it. I just find that tracking it all helps me to know if I am doing the right things or not. Only time will tell. Thanks so much for checking out my page. It means a lot.

You're so right in that statement, you need to continue to be able to be successful. Many people have been here doing the exact same thing for week over a year doing the same, even when they made mere 1 figure dollar power post! It's just recent that the posts have gone up with the change of voting distribution. Now everyone wants to join for a quick buck 😆
Remember that learning is something you're never done with. You are never fully learned and every day is a day to learn something new. The staircase never ends 😋

Damn right learning is never over. Posting good content will pay off in the long run for sure. I believe that whole heartedly. Your ongoing support means a lot.
Also, just so you know, I am trying to get a time when the Food Bank is open and I can take my kids with me to deliver food. I bought it all last week and planning on delivering with family this week since they don't have camp.

Your advice is so helpful. I just started with Steemit and after my first three blogposts received only one upvote among the three of them and no comments, I am almost ready to quit. And like you say, the frustrating thing is that I know that this content is valuable. It took me years to learn this wisdom about principles to keep from losing your money, and yet no one commented. By the way, your writing style is great and I love to read your posts. I have been following you for several days already. Thank you again!

Just keep doing what you are doing and be realistic about expectations. If it was easy to make a lot of money on here, then it would be as popular as Facebook, but it isn't. It takes some work but I know you can do it. Keep doing what you are doing.
