When you first start on Steemit there are a few things you should do in order to beat the learning curve. When you are starting you want to get that wallet to grow as fast as you can. 1. Post A Lot Of GOOD Content
It doesn't matter if you are replying to the posts you read or posting blogs on your account. You won't be able to get ahead of the learning curve if you don't just put yourself out there and start engaging with the community. Comment on other people's comments in a blog. Post three or four blogs a day. When you first start, share pieces and art you have done in the past. Share stuff that you have already created to figure out what direction you want to go. The most important thing when you are getting started, is to get started. Post, comment and engage.
2. Understand The Payout Structure

Don't Be Shy. When you're first starting out, it is important to spend a lot of time reading, following and upvoting. You're vote doesn't have hardly any worth right now, so don't be shy using it when you are spending time reading quality posts. Something you should be doing a lot of when you first join. If you log onto Steemit the first time and you see people making hundreds of dollars on posts, and you want that. Then you have to plan on putting in the work by doing these three things. It is going to take time. It took me a month before I was consistently making over 70 cents a post. I would have a few hit here and there and make $10 or $20 bucks, but they were not often. Then after a couple of months, they became more frequent. I did all of the above very early on and spent every free moment on Steemit.

Thank you for the post, very clear instructions and links to more resources... Also congrats on the consistency and for not giving up at the early stages. I have a question regarding this part " I did all of the above very early on and spent every free moment on Steemit." How is it today? Did you figure out a schedule or have designated time for steemit or just whenever you feel like you are on it. It's a personal question and I understand if you don't want to reply, but I am very curious as I am finding myself spending a lot of time here and I'm trying to figure out when does the time spent here will go down if it does and how addictive the platform and if there are people who eventually use it less, yet still are successful or if it's a you have to move or you die kind of scenario.
