Lochte and other teammates were invited out by a Brazilian swimmer Thiago Pereira to a party in Rio where they were held at gun point and his wallet was stolen.
I'll say this, he is very lucky he wasn't kidnapped for ransom.
It's sad, nowadays athletes need to walk with bodyguards.
I blame the Olympics. Rio has some of the most Iconic slums in the world they are even in some video games. You put a big event like the Olympics next to a slum and there's going to be criminals taking advantage of that.
