Warning Scammers

Today I received a warning. For the first time, one of my posts, had a reply given by a scammer. This warning is a service given by @arcange.

I received this reply:

WARNING - The message you received from @shafiqraza is a CONFIRMED SCAM!
DO NOT FOLLOW any instruction and DO NOT CLICK on any link in the comment!

I did pay this post a visit and there is a list of scammers (willing to take over your account) and some advice what not to do or check out before you decide to jump in the great offer (free upvote in my case and 20 followers.)

A great tip is not to trust anyone!

If you have a close look at the posts over here at Steemit, you will notice many are scam. I stumble over people who do not write original content at all, post a photo with the text: I made this picture upvote it and follow me. Most replies underneath these posts are like: what a great post, keep on the good work etc.
I also noticed that Steemians from a certain country are very active over here if it comes to give great tips/schooling to invest. For example via Discord and whatsapp groups. (They use English names but live in a country where hardly anyone is rich. Check out the country or phonenumber en remember: if it is too good to be true it is NOT true!).

Be sceptic about geting rich over night!

It is easy to check the market. The time of getting rich over night by investments is over since years (great example is what a bank charges you by now... if you are a bit older you probably remember how it was 30 and 50 years ago!).
Yes suddenly, for a short moment, some people got unexpectedly rich thanks to their Bitcoin investment (November/December 2017) but since then are only decreasing!

Remember: It is all about the money!

You and I will not get rich over here unless we catch a big fish (whale).

Steemit already wrote it in its quick guide how (if you sign in it shows): Do not expect anything!
Fact is: Followers are meaningless over here so a present of 20 followers is NOT a great deal. Neither is an upvote of ZERO cent.

How to keep your account safe?

That is not told by @arcange so I will tell you.
So you did join the group and did activate (whatever it may be) with your active key or master key or even your owner key (A BIG NO!)
Will you sit and wait till your account is hacked or will you act?

Act and change your password!

You need your master key to do so. Generate a new masterkey and you will see your other keys change as well.
As you know already you need to write down these keys. If you lose them, they are lost forever and so is your account!
After you did so you sign out and you sign in with your new posting key!
