RE: Steemit Update [October 30th, 2024] : Community Curators for November

in #steemit5 days ago

You know why.
People thought it was one of those SEC contests and writing is something you do between pooping and wiping your arse especially freewriting.

The fact they had to follow some rules made them mad, also they had to do 3 task but more read what was written.
I already knew most never read and I saw that happen here again.
Entries were based on just a title or 2 lines read.

The most simple task asked was not understood by most.

A few dropouts were due to personal (for me understandable) reasons and hurricanes, that's fine. It's harder to catch up if you missed former lessons.

Laziness (sec hunters) and anger (I know it all I post on Steemit, also from hosts of contests and moderators) is the reason of most dropouts next to simply forget it (this happens if more than one course is followed which is stimulated by the Steemit Team but if it comes to learning with awareness it will not work since many follow the courses next to a busy offline life. More than one became ill and I find that alarming.

The good ones, motivated ones stayed and these are the best to have. As a challenger it would have been different but this is how the teaching developed. The lessons were also based on the former lesson + experiences and complaints (explaining again although it wasn't read).

Next to writing I also wanted to show where free writers and those without a clubstatus are welcome to write. There's plenty of choice also for newbies and if you want to grow.
Since engaging is a must and commenting is writing it was part of #wewrite as well just like team True Colours rewarded commenters.

I find it hard to see how no SC or Teaching Team seems to care but why should they if it brings more work and the cake has to be shared or given away?

For sure it's easier to write 6 lessons, schedule them and stop by in the end to announce a winner but what is learned if no one tells what is wrong and how to improve it?

Contrary to what might seems to be popular believe, I thought your class was one of the toughest, that's why I never participated. I am more of a strict person in writing, that's why I enjoy writing scientific and statistic articles. There was a time when I enjoyed writing fictions, but now the pen seems to had dried out.

Now I understand better the reason for the drop of participation numbers.

... but what is learned if no one tells what is wrong and how to improve it?

So true.

Actually, you would be a good one since you comment and blurt out what you think and that's all what you had to to. (lesson 1the 2 pictures and comments)
Next generate a picture and write a few lines (for sure you can count and commenting is no problem to you.
The fable perhaps? Can be you easily wrote one after the other lessons. The short film review? A short film/video and telling in short what you think, like and dislike. Sounds a lot like commenting.

Poetry perhaps though I am sure you would have come up with something great.

A drie pen.. How about a pencil? I noticed it's easier, faster to write a comment than a post even if the comment is long. How come?
Most likely it's the idea it should look different and markdowns and pictures are more time consuming.

#wewrite & #comment which should be the same, relaxing without stress.

♥️🍀

I never thought about it like that. Now it sounds like fun. I know it was fun, but when you put it like that, it feels a lot funner, for me.

If it's about the numbers of characters, many of your comments can go as posts.

I know many of my comments are like posts and so are yours. So if you write a post as if you write a comment there's always an easy (free) write without dry ink.

Maybe I should give some tries on the Freewrite Community.

You can do that. I find it relaxing. No pressure, nonsense and blah blah is fine. 😁

I have noticed something like that before, we tend to enjoy writing a comment than a post, I have always wanted to see something like this in someone's comment and post so that I can be convinced that am not the only one that has noticed it.

We write long and quality comments more, when the discussion or the situation on ground is a serious and interesting one.

I comment better when I can joke and some people take offences. 😂😂😂 And when there are gifs. Oh, gifs.

Which means you even get excited when people get offended by your jokes 😂😂

It's between you and me, Bro. For your eyes only. 🤣

The best thing to do is if you write a long comment is not to send it but post it as a post. Use the hashtag comment and mention the one you commented on. If comments are not upvoted or worse read and answered or if they are interesting it's better to make a post out of it.
It's a win-win-win (saves time plus more can read it plus a bit upvote).

Yeah I get the point now, a total amount of $1 upvote is better than nothing because most of these our long comments doesn't receive upvote.
