My first day on Steemit
Thank you Steemians, for an awesome welcome.
I am overwhelmed with the response to my post within minutes. Maybe the first few were bots, and everyone will receive it, but after that, all were real people. I am yet to understand the search engine feeds of Steemit, but the response was heartening.
Thank you Steemians.
I will thank @jerrybanfielnd again for this. His video on the first post of #introducingyourself may have something to do with my post. Check his video here:
Jerry stressed the importance of this post, and I tried to follow all that he said. If you are planning to write an introduction, you should look at the video above or go through all the playlist video on Steemit.
Steemit Down:
This post is coming a few hours later than when I thought of writing it. Yesterday when I sat to write it I couldn’t load the website. The other sites were opening quickly, but it was taking ever to load Steemit.
My first reaction was it might be my chrome browser. Usually, my chrome sometimes has a thing about few websites. It stops loading them unless I clear the cookies. So I deleted the history and cleared the cache. Still, it didn’t load. Now, slowly I was getting upset.
I feared that my government telecom ministry sometimes blocks websites if some resources flag it. Pinterest doesn’t run in India; so does big websites like Bleacher Report. The Indian government has shown their intolerance to Cryptocurrencies, and I feared that it might be so that they have decided to block Steemit too.
The fear started infesting my mind, and it was late at night. So, I decided to give another day to it. I tried to be positive thinking it may be a server issue. I am over thinking. Anyway, I am a master procrastinator.
I need to keep myself motivated and feel positive. Today, as I woke up, I checked on my cell phone, and Steemit was loading. What a relief!
Thank God! Steemit is back on its wheels.
So I sat down writing this post.
How to use the Steemit platform?
My first post had a lot of useful comments on how to use this platform, the strategies, and a thing or two about Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies.
It was too overwhelming. I am a novice, and I have no idea about this technology and how it works. I tried to understand it, but it looked Hebrew to me. But if I am using this platform to earn through cryptocurrencies, I should have a fair knowledge about it.
Still, it was too elaborate and confusing to my little brain. I realized it could only be understood if I step into it and go slowly.
My alert mind warned me about my procrastinating nature and signaled that I am using my analytical mind and trying to be a perfectionist. It is not what I am here for. My primary focus is contributing to my post and sharing knowledge and ideas.
So I have to keep things simple, and only focus on blogging right now. There is enough time to catch on to other things. It will all happen organically. So, without any steem power, my first goal is first to follow 50 leaders, comment on 100 posts, upvote 200 posts and write 25 blogs.
Big thanks to @steemladder for that awesome post –

My primary focus is to write blogs. That’s the reason I am here. I browsed through many posts about growing your following, investing some money in steem power and strategies to reach more people.
But, for now, I have decided to focus on my writing before moving on to other strategies. I firmly believe in laying my share of enough content so that people start connecting with me.
My motto: “ Sow First, Water Later.”
So keep watching for my posts and comments.
I thank you all Steemians once again. Love you all.
