Ned Scott talked on SteemSpeak (informal quick live snippet summary)
Read below for some of what Ned Scott had to say on discord SteemSpeak today!
Snippets from the live session as it was going:
In New York this past week
Tokens to be used with names.
Tokens could have different functions related to STeem Power, worker proposals.
Receive lots of real world use cases.
Instantly support community growth or instant business growth.
Set parameters for the asset to be changed over time or to be immutable.
Presented to the community as long as you own that account name.
When the token is launched it could be potentially traded against STEEM.
This is proposal at best.
So clear that there is a powerful case here.
Lower barrier of entry on Steem with meta token compared to Ethereum.
Anyone who issues an asset potentially has the same benefits with Steem.
For example assets will be trade-able without transaction fees.
Issuer may choose how much may go to different facets of Steem such as worker proposals.
Fund raising that you want to do will be with the same community.
Is this scale-able for the chain as a whole.
Parameters can allow for creativity.
Then you can give the token more selling propositions.
Having the Reward Pool as an option will be interesting possibility.
Challenge of the UIA best use case is backed by a promise.
Which is challenging to fulfill.
Instead creating a value proposition related to STEEM, the community, and use cases with Steem(it), and the community.
Businesses will be ableto use this meta token to value the business right from launch of the token.
Make sure technology used in way of safety and functionality.
Token is for price discovery and transfer of value.
Idea from OpenLedger with toens being issued which creates the market with bids and asks.
As price discovery occurs than a market is created.

put questions here and I will ask https://docs.google.com/document/d/17yRcbXe3pV7_OK-P4NbR0IBS676yBzhw1OymeH6FBbo/edit?usp=sharing
Incentive that people come to the community and value the meta token.
Like STEEM the token grows i value with attention and interaction.
These occurrences could potentially add to / increase the value of the token(s).
BHAG, Big Hairy Audacious Goal tokens, or smaller goal tokens.
People could possibly offer IOU's as another example.
Middleware
Would need better developemnt to make the database fast.
Called the buffer blockchain. This taught us a lot.
Can check on github for more information with this and other middle ware tools.
With these tools allow to keep up with integrity of the blockchain and data.
Development is moving at a fast pace and look forward to mobile development as well.
Been developing some very cool Mathematical solutions that combine some aspects of proof of stake and proof of work.
Lot of infrastructure already built for these ideas from bitshares also being graphene based.
Already talking to several business to get involved with these new integration ideas.
Someone running a top marijuana firms talked to some.
Easiest, most viable token creation possibility potentially.
Also have a widget which can get you going with an out of the box solution for existing businesses.
Sort of see this as a next phase of steemit applications.
If you are a developer yet that Ned hasn't met yet he wants to meet you.
We are very much still in the infrastructure phase facing some bottle necks such as with account creation.
So we have some road blocks towards mass adoption currently.
We are in the last stages of removing these road blocks.
With much less in our way of bringing many more users from various fields and interests.
If we brought in lots of people we would not be able to currently support onboarding them all.
We are a community and we are all obligated to do our part.
Steemit and the blockchain wants to and can reward personal, community, and business initiatives.
This platform STEEM is one of, if not the most, advanced blockchain technoligies.
21 witnesses so having 21X, 21 extra nodes carrying the same data.
May be a little slower. But far more versatile in its own ways without having to perform proof of work.
As we go along expect to have scaling challenges as we grow which are continually working on.
Linear rewards about the next thing coming up. It is already coded and some is scheduled on github.
Talked about a bandwidth market.
The idea of Steem Power marketplace which would allow for additional functions and potentials.
This could be a way to "lend" or "escrow" functions.
Apologize if part of this off a bit and grammar errors.
Constantly looking at the website scalability which is different than blockchain scalability.
We are running aws.
We can get a prediction market open and see what the market thinks.
Theoretically up to 100,000 transactions per second.
Not fully tested but theoretically possible.
We are doing baout 500 transactions per second currently already.
Another use case, when i was at Token Summit in New York. Saw water bottles with steem on them.
maybe add scan codes that can add / sent / transfer STEEM or maybe even tokens.
The more we decentralized, the better.
If you are a developer, reach out to me (Ned), or anyone for that matter.

Fyrstikken posted a 0 minute recording which I have included below for my followers and please be sure sure to visit his post for proper credit and thanks. And included the recording here so you may listen while you read through the snippets I originally typed out some.

Exciting times and great news again! Thanks a bunch for sharing with us all. Namaste :)
Exciting times & great news indeed! Welcome & Namaste. :)
So many great things happening here and as a new user so many things to learn. Very much appreciate this. Upvoted and following you. All the best!
Yes many great things. Thank you!
Thank you for summarising in text! Unable to listen in at the moment. Sounds exciting. Steemit needs a live blog format to make this easier!
Welcome, thought some may appreciate this. :)
I agree live blog would be nice .
Thanks for the write up! I spend most of my time browsing on my phone, so I don't get a chance to listen/view audio/video much. I really appreciate the text version that I can read :)
You're very welcome. Thought it would be good to give people an idea.
Thanks for the heads up... now there and listening/lurking.
Welcome, Great!
