Thanks @veckinon! Believe it or not the first time I made anything from leather was in Jr High shop class, fall of 1971. Then off and on (more off then on) since then. I did a blog a month ago on the whole crazy story here https://steemit.com/life/@armadilloman/my-2018-this-is-my-hobby-leather
I actually made a couple of things in a jr high class myself. Never kept up with it though.
