Profile Set up in Steemit for beginners

I joined Steemit just about a week ago. When I looked at some blog sites, they looked awesome with their profile and cover picture. I could not find the option under settings in Steemit to upload those information as shown in picture below.

I had a difficult time finding the way to do it. This post was done to the best of my knowledge and I hope that it will be useful for others. We need to subscribe to Steemconnect, an identity layer on top of the Steem blockchain, created by busy.org that makes accounts secure.

1. Go to https://app.steemconnect.com/
   
   signup with the email that was used for Steemit. After the subscription is confirmed, continue back to the Steemconnect site by clicking the button shown in picture below.
   
   You will be taken to busy.org site.
   
   It has a variety of features like free digital payments and a marketplace for good and services. You can also send private messages to other users. Both Steemit and Busy.org are build on the Steem blockchain. If you post on Steemit you will see it on Busy.org and visa versa. They look different in the user interface.
   Click login and the following screen will appear. Click continue.
   
   For the first time, the owner or master key is needed to allow busy.org to manage the services. You can change this later on. After logging in, the following image will appear
   Now you can edit your profile. Click on settings and fill up the details.
   
   For the profile and cover picture, the links should be entered. The way to do it is by creating a new blog post and insert both the images.
   
   Copy the links, starting from https://.... . and paste in the profile page.
   Once done, click on save and continue . Once the transaction is successful, refresh the page on busy.org and Steemit. It takes a little while.
   

Once all done. log out of busy.org and return to Steemconnect dashboard. We need to log out of because initially we used the Owner / Master key. It is better not to let it be there.

Now, log in again but this time use your posting key as shown below.
