Chapter 6
Shades of love

She was foundling with her hands and her clothes, her heart was beating at an increasing alarming state. She was afraid of what she felt. Suddenly she felt like she was not beautiful even if she's been told that she was a million times. She suddenly felt weak and not good enough to be in the presence of Bianca.
"For the love of God she is my maid I'm the boss why do I feel so stupid." She scolded herself on the verge of tears. The more she tried to calm herself the tenser she became.
Her vulnerability was sweet.
A drop of tear fell from her eyes and she quickly wiped it off when she saw her mother come up the stairs with a broad smile on her face. Her hijab the same color with her clothes. Monica was surprised that her mother wore hijab cause she was a Catholic.
"Hi mum." Monica sang trying to sound ok Even though in her heart she was very sad. Her mum smiled and hugged her, Monica felt so tiny hugging her plump mother. "Why are you outside your room baby girl?" Her mum asked tugging at her dress.
"Nothing mum," Monica quickly interjected. She inhaled deeply trying to get back her composure. Her mum became suspicious of her. She knew her daughter well and she knew when she was very uncomfortable which was rarely, and right now Monica was very uncomfortable. She kept moving from one feet to another.
Monica never looses her composure. The daughter she knew was a strong confident woman. So confident and successful that she and her husband had disregarded adopting a boy when she found out that she could no longer give birth.
To them Monica was more than ten boys and worth more than a whole community of boys. She was brave, obedient, strong, determined, successful and beautiful. She had never done anything to cause Shame to the family and she has been so obedient and respectful even from a very young age people likened her to an Angel.
