Another Mother’s Day

Today is another Mother’s Day. Although the world is still very much enclosed by COVID19, the threatening pandemic, the love of motherhood is still prevailing. Indeed, love casts out fear.

My mom passed on nine years ago. An ordinary woman who had given birth to six children, able to nurture us in a time with limited resources. Without love, it would have been difficult. Nevertheless, motherhood is love. It seems that it is an instinct for a mother to nurture her children with loving acts.

Indeed, not every mother can be regarded as the great mother. However, the identity as a mother is always a great identity and privilege.

May I take this opportunity to greet every mother a happy and blessed occasion. You may not be surrounded by your family members physically due to movement control at a time of COVID19 this year. May you still be filled with love wherever you are and irrespective of whatever way your family celebrate this Mother’s Day with you.

What a surprise my wife who loves flowers received her first flower gift for this Mother’s Day from someone we are yet to meet physically.
