If your Steemit account is over $10,000 and this law passes you could be in serious trouble. The proposed Combating Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, and Counterfeiting Act of 2017 seeks to make it a crime to have assets worth more than $10,000, and yes this includes cryptocurrency and your Steemit account. This bill seeks to steal your hard earned wealth and remove all the privacy and anonymity of bitcoin and Steemit. We need to contact our Congressman and tell them that this is not okay. What if somebody has $4,000 in "Fancycoins" on their phone and "Fancycoin goes up by 200%. You might be completely unaware that you now have more than $10,000 worth of "Fancycoins."
And this is just the first step in the war on cryptos...
I know, it's horrible and a lot of harmless, innocent people are gonna be affected by this.
Fortunately im not living in Usa, i love much this country, but i feel a bit sad that Americans lost more and more Freedom each day.
Good on you brother, I like the freedoms that we do have here but we're losing more and more of them. I swear we're turning into a communist country I just hope Trump stops it, although I'm pretty sure he's a globalist too. If it gets too bad I'm gonna end up having to leave the country. Any ideas on the safest place to be when the U.S. Government collapses?
