MILESTONE #1: 100 FOLLOWERS - MASSIVE THANK YOU
Hello Steemians (and especially our followers),
We noticed upon waking up this morning that we reached our first milestone of 100 followers (now 105) within 17 days. We came onto Steemit as we wanted a place to start our blog after years of stalling and delaying. We told ourselves at the beginning of the year that 2018 is the year of 'can-dos' and action. We are coming to the end of the first month of 2018 and already Becca has managed to force Sam to go to a beginners (walk-in) salsa class (something he was willing to try, but dreading to do). He conquered his fear of dancing in public without being tipsy or drunk. There is plenty of excitement and adventures to come and we cannot wait to share it with you all!
Firstly, we are here to write about our experiences in life in a creative and hopefully inspirational way. The fact Steemit is linked to a crytpocurrency called Steem and has the ability to pay out authors and curators was a bonus. Some see gaining Steem/SBD payouts as an asset or a monetary value, which it is, but we see it as appreciation votes. What is given to us in SBDs is re-invested back into the platform as Steem Power, so that we can have more influence and upvote great quality posts and comments from all of you! We are in this for the long-term and want to see more and more users on Steemit/DTube.
We hope you all appreciate our small token of gratitude. We realised only yesterday that we were coming closer to the 100 followers mark and we wanted to give back. Yet, as we said, we always re-invested our SBDs straight into Steem Power. However, last night we had a payout and we made sure our SBDs were converted into Steem, which gave us 2.019 Steem. This is not a great deal of money, but it works out to about $9-$10. Sam was studying from home today and you can say he did a lot of that (or not). He spent almost two hours transferring 0.020 Steem to our first 100 followers (well, the last one got 0.019 - sorry @zsh, we did it in alphabetical order and didn't have enough). We thank you all and remember you will always be our original #100

Thank you for congratulating us @carey-page! It does take quite a bit of work, but with a bit of elbow grease and determination we can achieve what we want to achieve. You're almost there! Just helped you get there one step closer (to 100 followers).

Could that mean that videos (on Youtube) would be on the horizon too?
@leighlim yes it's quite awesome, huh? It's our little saying to our first 100 that we care and thank them for taking an interest to us. We know some followers just followed and never interacted, but they found us and you never know maybe in the future they will interact with our posts.
We will look into other media streams related to Steem, so DTube rather than YouTube. It could be on the horizon. Maybe more videos that we edit with music etc. and if we feel brave enough later; to feature our faces and voices.
That's so sweet of you guys and thank you so much for your token - I saw it the other day and was pleasantly surprised that newbies like you are already giving back to the community!

You're welcome @ingaaa! For us, we're using Steemit/DTube to share our passions/experiences and not to milk the system. Whatever comes to us, goes back to the platform (good karma and full circle - what comes around, goes around).
We shall see each other grow and support each other :)
You have to make learning salsa or any type of Latin dancing one of your 30-day challenges. We had an induction session only. Depending on our schedule, we shall see if we can continue with the normal beginner classes. If we can't there's always YouTube tutorials....actually, scratch that...we shall check it on DTube for that. Support the community. ;)
