Weekly Advice for Steem New and Not-So-Newcomers: Build your Following/Followers Portfolio
If you are a newcomer to steem and so to the steemit platform, one of the most important "works" to do first here is to spend a lot of time searching , reading and discovering authors with whom have similar affinities, tastes and preferences.
This task is very important because, in my opinion, the level of compromise you get from the people you found having these characteristics is higher than from people which don't have your affinities.
So, you can start searching posts with the tags you are more interested on... for instance, if you like Running then try to search good posts and authors using that #running tag.
Don't fall in the trap to think that most payed posts are coming from the best authors/steemians... THIS IS COMPLETELY WRONG and you will realize later on that, in order to reach the top of the "TRENDING" topic there are basically two main ways:
- either you are an amazing writer/blogger with thousands of followers, few of which are "WHALES"...
- or you are "buying" UPVOTES by using Bid-Bases Bots services...
With the time you will differentiate them very easily.
For the first case, believe me that, in top of being an exceptional writer/blogger, this profile has worked a lot the "NETWORKING" task, so, he spent a lot of time building a consistent followers/following list, obtaining as a result a strong support and compromise from them as well he is providing equally the same.
For the second case, despite you may find amazing authors using Bid-Based Bots, this is not very frequent... so don't use only the amount of $ that a post has made as the main variable to find good content....
So, try to find those Authors that you like, follow them and start observing and reading their posts...give an upvote on the posts you like and write a comment sharing your feelings about the topic:
Be constructive and write comments or replies with added value so, keeping the possible dialog alive if possible.
VERY IMPORTANT, I will never get tired to repeat this: Don't ask for upvotes or follows, the effect you will get is effectively the contrary... despite maybe someone will fall in giving some upvotes, it is not a constructive approach and, additionally, this is not creating any sustainable relationship.
Believe me, building a consistent NETWORK is one of the Key-tasks to get success in steemit.
The truth be told. :)
At least is the "truth" that I believe on, which is important ;-)
I think that there are a lot of people making fillow for follow and after that they don’t coment and read other posts... I only follow that people that post things that I like to read.
😊 good post!
yeah! that is the most important because, at least you guarantee you get quality. The rewards will come later, if you deserve them.;-)
Keep doing well @punxi !
