Somebody With A High Ranking On STEEMIT Accused Me Of Posting SPAM :[steemCreated with Sketch.

How dare them!

Argument Pyramid Pretty Accurate.jpg

Somebody came to my post where the content is fully owned by myself and had the nerve to say...

"You should not be spamming the newsfeed every few mins with stuff like this -- throwing up a video link, or doing what it appears is copying/pasting other peoples' content, offering no comments, etc. Stop spamming the newsfeed every few mins like this, as per my other comments."

The post's that - this foriegn colonial enforcement sounding ignorant colonist were referring to - were specific songs from one of my old mixtapes produced, published, and promoted all by myself AND labeled correctly on the posts!

His excuse... supposed 'spam control' is steeped with ignorance...

Since when is original content not valued on STEEMIT?

So wait... if other musicians can post there original work, why would this man single me out...

Because it is the typical ignorance of those who wish to have control, to suppress those who they do not share values or agree with!

According to the argument pyramid... their argument falls into the category of contradiction, because he stated his opposing case with no evidence. That is why I am here to refute the central point!

Imagine if I commented on your post with false assumptions, I would be the one out of position...

Or imagine if I considered all post's in languages in other English as spam... even though my post and replies were in English it seems that the ignorant one didn't understand anyway.

I would be falling into the same ignorance as the foriegn colonial enforcer sounding ignorant wanna-be Steemit - Police who accused me of Spam if I did the same thing.

Then the ignorant one replied,
"And I would say I have a few more things here figured out than most new people that join.....
.... annnnnd then spam a whole newsfeed."

Anyways... Steemit is full of great original content!

I just think that it is a shame that people think they can police other people's post with assumptions and no facts.

This man would make a good police officer... proud of his false assumptions ready to enforce his colonial opinions on an aboriginal man.

I can see that those posts aren't really spam, but I could also see how someone could see it as spam. You posted a number of posts very close together with the same format which all show the same image in the title. Yes each song is different but the formatting makes it look like spam. All he was initially saying was to space out the posts a little and you jumped to the bottom of your pyramid graphic and started name calling as your first reply.

Sounds like a foreign colonial policy enforcer that belongs in Europe trying to muddle in my business.

I'm not taking sides, I'm just pointing out what I see. I have no problem with what you did but I also see why someone might think it's spam. Also, if you spread out your posts a little bit, your chances of getting a better payout might be higher. If someone didn't vote on your first song they aren't going to vote on your 2nd,3rd,4th etc. Spreading it out would increase the chances of different people finding the posts.

Not to justify the name-calling from @tonyendz but... the man did seem like a wanna-be 'policy enforcer'. Regardless what he thought he could've asked nicely or did a little reading and snooping around the page to see that the posts are not spam.
I believe that it is a normal reaction to call someone names after they harass you out of position. I also believe that after refuting the man's central point he deserved to be labeled as someone who sounds like a colonist because honestly that is precisely what it sounds like when people go out of there way to correct other people that do not need correction.

Yes, but the whole point of this post is to refute the main argument against him in the comment. Regardless of how it sounds (yeah it could have been nicer), it's just saying that posting the same or similar post over and over again in a short period of time is very spammy. Besides the songs being different in each post, how is it not technically spam? Comment spammers even put the username who they are commenting to at the end of their comment which makes each comment technically different.

By not addressing the main argument and resorting to attaching the tone of the writing, this post, and the comments to support it drop down to the bottom three tiers on the argument pyramid posted as the first image here. The only refuted argument I can see after reading through this post again is that it's okay to spam as long as it's your own work that you are using. Most comment spammers also write their own original comments so I don't see that argument holding up very well. There is a claim that there are no facts to back up the initial argument. The fact that there are 14 very similar looking posts that were posted very close together is a good case that it can be seen as spam. Other than that, there is a lot more name calling than I had initially picked up on.

Spam is becoming a real problem here and people that have been here for a while are getting tired of it and starting to try and do something about it.

The fact is is... it is not spam even though it may appear as spam to those who are ignorant...
... don't be ignorant and the problem is solved (no problem to begin with when all involved parties are not ignorant)

I think the main point of this post is to not be a bully or try to think you have everything figured out when dealing with people.

If someone comes to play basketball talking nonsense and then loses, expect a little name-calling back.

Again... the main point of this post is to not be a bully or try to think you have everything figured out when dealing with people.

I just do not understand why people make problems out of nothing.
Just remember... we are not the ones that go on other peoples posts and bring negativity, period.

Thanks for coming to my defense @reneyusufbey but lol we have came to the conclusion that everything is fine
just say no to Spam, ignorance, and bullying

I agree this isn't spam but, something I wasn't aware of until recently, check out the penalties here for too many posts in one day (I assume this is still valid) https://steemit.com/steem/@steemitblog/steem-version-0-12-0-released . If one of these posts had hit the big time, you would only have got to keep about 15% of what it would have earned if it was the only post posted that day. I agree with what @stephen.king989 says spread them out and you'll make more and probably reach a bigger audience. If people really like the first one, they'll be salivating waiting for the next one to arrive...

I think the post limit was taken out not too long ago. There is no limit now.

yup limits are off, the flood gates got opened in HF 16 I believe.

Ah OK folks, my mistake, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. You might be interested in this post. https://steemit.com/steemsongs/@ned/steemsongs In it @ned mentions a new community for supporting the growth of music culture on Steemit.

I like the open mic's there is sensei and the Streams and Thirsty records, which I haven't heard news from for quite a while. Verbal-d is a god guy to watch out for too. But I'm not following the scene closely, never was in fact.

Hey props to dan, living the life. I just heard he can play a guitar :)

Thanks for the news.

You know... I don't do this just for the payout...
I use this platform as a way to showcase my intellectual property and I usually know if a post is going to get some significant votes and resteems!
I did not intend to go viral or anything I just wanted to post my music in a specific order...
I said he "Sounds like a foreign colonial policy enforcer that belongs in Europe trying to muddle in my business" because yea... that is what he sounds like. When people act that way and think they can judge and police everything then tat is just wrong... that is what I pointed out with this post.

Fuck the ignorant whales that think that we are a bunch of broke minnows...
in reality my Steemit earnings are not reflective of my life earnings, and if I didn't sense the ignorance than I wouldn't have sniffed out the bullshit...

You will never see me post bullshit on other peoples pages... AND if I choose to post bullshit on my own page (even though it is not bullsh..) than that is not for others to criticize.

The Street Team PRE COVER 2.jpg

I'm not saying you are wrong at all. I understand what you did and that's perfectly fine. But with all this comment spamming and other crap going on around here lately, I understand why someone who has been here for a year would mistake all the posts together as spam without fully checking it out. There wasn't always this problem with spam. It's only been over the last little while and I think it may be getting on people's nerves and causing them to jump the gun a little bit on the accusations. I think you might have joined around the time it was starting to get bad so maybe it's just normal for newer people and they don't realize that all this spam wasn't an issue until a few months ago. It's not going to stop until we all do something about it and that's probably what he was intending to do. We need to put a stop to this spamming together.

His comment does come off a little demanding the way it is put, though. He could have worded it as more of a friendly suggestion for sure, but he didn't flag you or anything like that. Again, I see what you did and it's cool, but if I was scrolling down my feed and saw 14 of the same looking posts with similar copy and paste text, I would think it was spam initially, too.

@stephen.king989
Hey man, I like your way of thinking.
You analyze things well without jumping to conclusions !
I think we had a productive comment section here :)

Resteemed! It's not because someone's a whale, he has the right to trample smaller sized users! Keep up the good work!
