Will Steemit Gain Ground Again?
I've been using Steemit for over 3 years now, I've watched it grow to the peak and dive to the bottom. The rebound from that bottom hasn't been as smooth as many Steemit users thought it would be during the prime. Many big users started to leave for various reasons, some honestly it was good they left the system. Then you had the division between users, people of power and in the end Tron buying a huge stake which just created a even bigger fissure in the Steemit landscape.
Steemit never really became what it aimed to be and still hasn't really found a solid footing with lots of internal drama and bickering taking over scene while true evolution of the system was slowed if not back tracked in many ways.
I get angry at Steemit and have called it trash, those actions came from my anger which evolved from my love for the system.
Steemit was thriving .User interactions were high even without Discord, just based on comments that showed up on your post. Even a dead post would get a few comments while a good payout post got more interaction than some of my You Tube videos. This has all but really left the system and it almost feels barren in many ways to a lot of content compared to the past.
Some niches still have good interaction put most of those reward that interaction via payout of Steem to help boost a hurting system, which is good but overall just points out the core issue. I don't really see a huge new wave of users flocking to the Steemit blockchain like the past with current build and lack of evolution in the last 3 years tells me it's not going to change fast if at all.
In the end everything changed and evolves, sometimes things evolve in a manner that isn't for you but I really hope that isn't the case for Steemit and this blockchain. Do you feel Steemit can gain momentum again? Get natural interactions back into post, even smaller niches or do you feel the damage is done and time was already wasted?
I'd love to hear your opinion
