Steemit suggestions - Make yours here

Hi everyone.

So Firstly I would like to say well done to Steemit on creating and designing such an amazing Platform.

Right, so I was thinking perhaps it would be useful to make a post which could be used to by us the community to make suggestions for the steemit platform to look at.

If the post was seen enough, my hope is that any useful upgrades suggestions, could be seen by the relevant people and those suggestions may be taken on board.

So First i'll begin with some of the issues i've noticed.

---- The Search bar.
One of the issues for me has been the Search Functionality. The Google search engine logo is disconcerting.

I would enable a much more tailored search system as this is the core tool used to communicate between users and developing the social network.

Example finding users with common interests, user profiles, etc.. is still quite challenging, this mechanism in my view is essential to forming a usable social network.

---- Template Design format and user friendly aspect

I understand the platform is currently in Beta stage, but I do believe a number of tweeks in Menu placement and a overall more user friendly and simple layout would establish a much easier way of doing things. Again there is a need for a better means of navigation, perhaps even having a Category section etc. Overall it's working though, and you've done a amazing job!

---- A How to, Help Section.

I believe a area with go to information on how to use so and so, and questions and answers, needs to be developed to a much larger extent.. another option is a guide which could be switched on, ultimately though they may be limiting. An Official easy to find information and help section would really work.
