Starting a Business (!!) + Get to Know Me Beyond Steemit/DTube
The reason why I have been a little MIA on here is because I have been in the process of starting a business! It’s been hard on me a little because every day I think about wanting to post more on here and being more involved with the Steemit community! I am excited though to officially share both worlds with you all and hope to have your support in spreading my mission.
So What Is It That I'm Doing?
This is from my introduction post:
“I named myself ‘theaudgirl’ because I strongly believe in embracing individuality and what makes you different even if you stand out and may be considered an “oddfit” in society.”
This was a little hint to what the mission of my company is. The other hint to what my business is was in my stance on fitness in that first post. One that believes in closing the disconnect between the body empowerment and fitness industry.
I will go into more about what the company name is and more about the details later (to be honest I am trying not to write too much as I am already asking for you to watch this video and check out my post on my website). However, for now I want to share with you guys this video that I made going into my “why”. This is something that I am so passionate about and I hope that it encourages others to be more open with their lives and what their dreams are.

What I would love to ask from all of you is to:
Support me and follow along as I try to build this company based on a very authentic mission (vs capitalizing on the insecurities of others as a majority of the fitness industry does)

As for fun if it wasn’t then why do it? I may complain about the 9-5 but I’m good at my job and that brings joy so I continue.
I had missed a hobby for many years, weird how it adds so quickly, found much trouble along the way. Here I have landed for better or for worse I don’t give up on anything, till now that has been troublesome but here I find use for my analytical nature and for the first time a creative outlet.
So thank you for noticing that’s my take on it, self embarrassment humour, every video I try to improve yet find those moments laughing at myself 🤦♂️ If I laugh then it must be somewhat amusing for others.
I would love to strike my own path in business yet I lack the direction... or is this the direction? Steem? Witness? Meh take the opportunity as it comes, it brought us all together so far.
This is such a strong message! I love what you’re doing. I too quit my professional career to pursue my passions. It’s not easy, totally scary but also so amazing. I wish you the best of luck in your journey :)
You did?! Frick yeah. That's awesome. It was almost easier having my professional job than sharing this with those around me haha People like security and a stable environment, so when others step out they think we are crazy. But what's crazy to me is living a life just to get that nod of approval from others for doing something conventional ya know? Also -- we are both pretty young and we have our whole lives ahead of us to get a professional job if we really need.... but let's hope not ;)

Thank you so much, you sweet soul <3 I can't wait to hit the ground running entirely and try to reach as many women as possible. I think that the thing missing sometimes in the female fitness industry is authenticity so I hope to bring that along with valuable education. And to also help affect young girls at their impressionable young age! It's sad to me when even those around me question their worth because of social media, so if I can even affect one person, my life will be made haha.
It was a scary leap, but the importance of my mission overpowers the nerves. :) I'll keep everyone updated for sure!

When you start your own business, it funny how lonely it can become.
I remember when I started mine and I lost connection with most of the people I hung out with just because I faced different issues than they did. My weekends were just another day and cash flow was always a point of stress.
I’m lucky, I found a group and grew exceptionally well while keeping my sanity :)
Well done on starting a journey down your own path, it isn’t easy by any stretch of the imagination, but it is an adventure!
One certainly worth taking
You nailed it... it's been a lonely process for sure. Especially as I thrive off of interaction with others, it's been an interesting time. However, entirely necessary as I need the alone time to really hustle and get after all that I need to do. Also, it's been hard to not lose connection with others... I mean most 23 year olds are partying on the weekends and as you said, I face different issues and have different goals right now!

Amazing Audrey! I started my own business as a private tutor back when I lived in Sweden. At the time it was because I was having trouble finding work and thought it might be easier to create my own job - but in the end it turned out to be the best thing I could have done. It was fabulous having the freedom to do my own thing. I don't have that business any longer, but now I'm doing a similar thing with my writing. I even stopped working for a few months to focus on it fully. Congrats to you for having the guts to do the same thing and starting on the path to inspiration. It will be a lot of work, but it doesn't feel that way because you will love every minute!

Once again, your comment made me smile :) That is amazing that you created your own business as a solution to not finding work and that it worked out even better for you than if you were to have taken a traditional job. And to top it off, it has set you down on a path of even more fulfillment despite not necessarily having that same business. This was so reassuring because it showed me that you let life guide you in a sense and that it has led you to learning and pursuing what you are passionate about. Did you write a book? Would love to give it a read.
